Strand Laboratories’ leadership is second to none. Our Vice President of Corporate Development, Susan D. Narveson, previously served as the Chief of Investigative and Forensic Sciences Division for the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). Prior to this, she was the Administrator of the Laboratory Services Bureau with the Phoenix Police Department, where she was responsible for managing the operation of a full service crime laboratory. She has also served as the President of the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors, and as an officer for various other organizations.
Our leadership team along with our highly trained scientists and experienced project managers are always searching for ways to increase efficiency, while continually enhancing client service. We can design customized forensics programs to address your specific needs, and we can quickly adjust to your unique protocols and procedures.
Strand is committed to advancing the process of DNA testing and producing quality results for our clients. Our laboratory specializes in processing arrestee / convicted offender samples and forensic casework, including sexual assault kits, property crime / “touch” DNA cases, and cold cases. We also provide the patented know error® system to medical practices across the U.S. which includes DNA Specimen Provenance Assignment (DSPA) testing to ensure patient safety and diagnostic accuracy throughout the biopsy evaluation process.
To achieve our goal of rapid turnaround times and processing a high volume of tests efficiently, we use the latest DNA testing equipment and technology, combined with our unique internally developed high-throughput processes. With this type of efficiency we can offer, you may quickly realize that it is more productive to allow us to do your high volume testing, while your internal lab staff remains focused on your more specialized needs.
